“For Sale By Owner” homes very often overpriced
No-one denies that, on occasion, you can negotiate directly with the sellers and save money. However, most buyers assume that if they buy directly from an owner they will get a lower price. Since the owners wouldn’t have to pay a commission, they could pass along their savings to the buyers. But why would they want to? Most sellers don’t take on the burden and expense of selling their own home so they can give buyers a better price. They do it to pocket more money for themselves. Longview real estate sellers are no different!
In fact, as often as not, people selling their own homes overprice them. They’re hoping to find some “bargain-hunting” buyers who will be hoodwinked into believing they are saving money because there’s no agent involved. In addition, even if the home appears to be priced right, it may suffer from hidden defects. Buyers moving in from out of town to Longview Washington are the most vulnerable to assessing the value of For Sale By Owners. The home may be a steal compared to house prices in their home town, but may not be a good deal here in Longview Washington.

Choose a real estate agent with experience to help you!
Many buyers start their Longview Washington home search randomly. They see a home listed on a Longview Real Estate site and in their initial excitement call the listing agent. Firstly, that agent is already working for the seller and cannot represent the buyer’s best interests. Secondly, you have no idea about the agent other than the fact that they have the listing. Real estate sales follow the same 80-20 rule found in most fields. Eighty percent of the agents do 20 percent of the business, and the top 20 percent of the agents do 80 percent of the business. You need a Longview Real Estate agent with a proven track record of not just sales, but of helping buyers. Longview Real Estate agents referred by New Quest have experience in helping buyers relocating to Longview buy a home for the right price!

A. Long and Mark Morris).
Longview is also served by three religious based schools. The Catholic Saint Rose school serves kindergarten through eighth grade. Three Rivers Christian School serves kindergarten through twelfth grade. Longview Christian School serves preschool through sixth grade.
An intense rivalry exists not only between R. A. Long High School and crosstown Mark Morris High School, but also Kelso High across the Cowlitz River in Kelso, WA. The R. A. Long/Mark Morris rivalry culminates every year in so-called "Civil War" basketball games, the first held at R. A. Long's gymnasium (known locally as the "Lumberdome"), and the second on Mark Morris's Ted M. Natt court.
